May Neighborhood Meeting
When: Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 6:30PM
Where: St. Andrews Lutheran Church
Come meet neighbors and listen to a guest speaker. We plan for Abdul Arif, Attorney, will help us better understand some general legal issues and learn more about immigration terms and laws.
June Neighborhood Meeting
When: Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 6:30PM
Where: St. Andrews Lutheran Church
Come meet neighbors and listen to a guest speaker. We plan for Beth Schafers of Family Promise of Greater Wichita. She will share how they help families move out of homelessness with the help of area churches.
Scoops, Shred, & Shed
DRIVE THRU PAPER & ELECTRONICS RECYCLING
Trinity Presbyterian Church Parking Lot, 10am-1pm
This will be our second year to offer paper shredding for our neighbors, and we're adding electronics recycling that will be taken to Starkey that gives work to people with disabilities. Donations to offset our expenses will be welcomed.
Things we will take:
Any papers with staples or lamination are OK.
ELECTRONICS: Desktop or laptop computers, mice, tablets, flat screen monitors & peripherals (external drives), Printers, Fax machines, VCR/ DVD players and even Cell phones!
Things we will not take:
Paper with brads, paper clips or spiral metal or plastic binders.
Televisions, microwaves or large CRT computer monitors. (if you have these you can save them for the clean-up and bring them to the dumpsters or packer trucks).
